Karl Rove on liberal bloggers

Karl Rove on liberal bloggers:
….the left, when it comes to their channels of persuasion, are unpersuasive. They are, most of them are hate-filled, obscenity-clogged rants of anger and hatred. And it may be good for reinforcing those who are already true and tried, but it’s not good for reaching out to people who are up for grabs who might be going to the internet to find a source of information.
His absurd accusation that liberal bloggers are all full of anger and hatred fills me with so much hate that I might just let fly a few obscenities myself. No, wait. That would play right into is hand…
If liberal bloggers have been angry in the last few years, its been righteous anger based on the so called “leadership” that has been displayed by the Bush presidency.
Later he was asked why there are more liberal blogs on the net:
“I hate to sound sort of diffident about it but it strikes me that a lot of people on the right have got active lives and are doing other things,” Rove said. “The idea of spending a lot of time on the internet and taking their talents and displaying them there is not something [conservatives] really do.”
Obviously, liberal bloggers are all lazy, bigoted, and potty mouths. If Karl Rove says it, it has to be true, right?

Do you want to deny those kinds of bloggers exist?
He said most of them and not all of them. However, if you looked at the most fervent liberal blogs you will find them less than friendly toward anyone of a conservative bent to their opinions. Those on the left who have reasonable discussions get less attention overall than the people who post on Daily Kos with insults and misleading information because those are the ones that get held up as “great” blogs.
It’s the same people who get all up in arms if a conservative mentions President Clinton and Monica but have no problem mocking President Bush as “King George.” This anger is NOT always “righteous anger” as your post wants to make people believe it is.
There’s little doubt President Bush is showing Americans what it was like to live under Millard Fillmore or James Buchanan. That still doesn’t make a lot of the antics of the far left blogosphere any more acceptable than the posts of someone like Ann Coulter.

I would concede the point that there are people who are far out and are excessive on both sides of the aisle. I was just a little offended at the casual way he dismissed liberal bloggers as lazy and generally hate filled. Obviously, he doesn’t mean all.
I would simply submit to Karl Rove that there are probably just as many hate-filled, obscenity filled conservative bloggers as there are liberals.
Thanks for the comments by the way… I appreciate your feedback
